A life experience is an experience that changes an individual. This is associated with hardships, problems, risk taking, effort and originality whereby individuals stretch themselves to improve their character, talents and knowledge. Life experience can be found in both failures and successes, positives and negatives but is seldom a passive experience. For example, if you travel it may be the problems you that end up being transformative and memorable whereas moments of convenience and comfort may have little effect. 

Life experience implies that you learn something from an experience or that it transforms your character or thinking. Where this is positive, this process is known as personal growth. Taking the high road is the experience of remaining reasonable in the face of unreasonable behavior. This fights the common urge to match the poor behaviors of others or to escalate.

For me, life is about experiences. We all have to dream, strive, and fail before we can achieve success. Maybe we'll discover along the way that the journey is more important than the destination.
